PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat for fishing rods and fishing rod capable of inhibiting a movable hood from being inclined when reel legs are fixed.SOLUTION: The reel seat for fishing rods includes: a reel seat body 10 including a reel leg placement part 20 on which reel legs 5 are placed, and a pair of left/right guide grooves 29 and a cylindrical movable hood 11 that is guided by the guide grooves 29 of the reel seat body 10 so as to be slidingly movable along the axial direction.
