PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively evaluate locomotive movements such as walking of persons.SOLUTION: A locomotive movement analysis device includes: detection means that detects a steep start-up in waveforms representing a time change in forward/backward acceleration components during locomotive movements of a person measured using an acceleration sensor and determination means that determines a time corresponding to the detected start-up as a reference time of one step or a plurality of steps of advancing movements of the person. The detection means detects the start-up by, for example, calculating differential waveform of the waveforms and specifying a vertex of a peak waveform in the differential waveform.
