A unitized cast system 10 for immobilizing and supporting a body part. The unitizedcasting system 10 includes a first inner layer 40 for padding and dissipatingheat against the patient s skin. A second layer 30 is formed from a thermoformablestructural material such as perforated plastic. A protective third outer 20layer is provided to provide insulation for the second layer. These three layersare formed together to form a unitized cast system that is easily formed and appliedto the patient.
