The present invention relates to a side guard of a wheelchair usable as a mobility assisting device and a wheelchair having the same. A push assist, which is a mobility assisting device, includes； two linear rods spaced apart from each other to face each other； and a curved rod connected between the linear rods and capable of being gripped. The wheelchair has side guards on both sides of a seat. The side guards include: fixed side guards fixedly installed at rear left and right positions of the seat； and attachable and detachable side guards coupled to front left and right positions of the seat.본 발명은 이동보조기구로 사용가능한 휠체어의 사이드 가드 및 이를 구비한 휠체어에 관한 것으로서, 상기 이동보조기구인 푸시 어시스트는 나란히 마주보도록 이격된 두 개의 직선봉과, 상기 직선봉 사이를 연결하는 파지 가능한 만곡봉을 포함하고, 또한 상기 휠체어는 시트의 양측에 사이드 가드를 구비한 것으로서, 상기 사이드 가드는, 상기 시트의 후방 좌우에 각각 고정적으로 설치된 고정식 사이드 가드 및 전술한 푸시 어시스트가 상기 시트의 전방 좌우에 각각 탈착식으로 결합된 탈착식 사이드 가드를 구성하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
