PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator capable of performing a mist operation in a state where the inside of a water storage chamber is always clean.SOLUTION: When a mist operation for blowing humidification air indoors is completed, a water level in a drain tray 5 is confirmed by a drain sensor 31, and when the drain tray 5 is not filled with water, a drain valve 30 is opened and water in an inner case 9 is flowed into the drain tray 5, and when the water in the inner case 9 is all drained, a drying operation is started by driving a blower fan 18. Thereby, after the completion of the mist operation, the inner case 9 can be dried surely to prevent germs and mold from generating, even when a user does not perform cleaning in an appliance body 1, and usability improves.
