PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is easily manufactured and excellently prevents the leakage of feces.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 100 has an absorbent body 10 including: a rigid absorbent body 50 having an absorbent body 11 a top sheet 12 which is arranged to cover one surface of the rigid absorbent body 50 and is at least partially made of a liquid-permeable material and a back sheet 13 which is arranged to cover the other surface of the rigid absorbent body 50 and is made of a liquid-nonpermeable material. The rigid absorbent body 50 has the first end 10a at one end in a short-side direction and the second end 10b at the other end in the short-side direction. When external force is applied to allow the first and second ends 10a, 10b to mutually approach each other, a center area between the first and second ends 10a, 10b is projected in a separating direction from a mounting person, so as to form a space with the crotch of the mounting person.
