PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire, even when being collided with an affected area, capable of suppressing displacement of a bent part from a distal side to a proximal side, while securing substantial flexibility.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 comprises a core shaft 20, a first coil body 30 formed by winding around the core shaft 20, and a second coil body 40 provided inside the first coil body 30. The first coil body 30 includes a loosely-wound portion 30b in which respective wires 31 are separated, and a first densely-wound portion 30a that is provided adjacent to the proximal side of the loosely-wound portion 30b and in which the respective wires 31 come into contact.
