An object of the present invention is to provide a naturally occurring gastric ulcer preventive or therapeutic agent, an orally administered drug, and a method for producing a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for gastric ulcer with improved gastric ulcer inhibitory effect. The preventive or therapeutic agent for gastric ulcer according to the present invention contains a fraction derived from a fraction having a molecular weight of 10,000 Da or more in brewed liquor obtained using yeast in an effective amount for preventing or treating gastric ulcer. The brewed liquor is preferably refined sake. In addition, the preventive or therapeutic agent for gastric ulcer according to the present invention is preferably administered orally.本発明の目的は、胃潰瘍の抑制効果が改善され、容易に製造できる天然由来の胃潰瘍の予防又は治療剤、経口投与薬、及び胃潰瘍の予防又は治療剤の製造方法を提供することである。本発明に係る胃潰瘍の予防又は治療剤は、酵母を用いて得られる醸造酒における分子量１００００Ｄａ以上の画分の由来物を、胃潰瘍の予防又は治療有効量で含有する。醸造酒は、清酒であることが好ましい。また、本発明に係る胃潰瘍の予防又は治療剤は、経口投与されるものであることが好ましい。
