A goggle is provided that can comprisea goggle frame (102) and a bend controlcomponent (120). The goggle frame can define opposinglateral portions and a central portion. Thegoggle frame can comprise a bridge disposed atthe central portion of the goggle frame. The goggleframe can be generally flexible upon exertion of abending force on the goggle frame. The bend controlcomponent can extend along the bridge of thegoggle frame. The bend control component can beconfigured to enhance flexural strength of the goggleat a bridge thereof for reducing preferentialbending of the goggle frame at the bridge. In someembodiments, the bend control component isformed separately from the goggle frame. In otherembodiments, the bend control component can besecured to the frame using fasteners and/or one ormore protrusions and corresponding recesses.
