PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal spray composition which is effective for decomposing and removing scorching of oil, broth or the like adhering onto a heating cooker or the like, and to provide an enamel-like sprayed coating.SOLUTION: A thermal spray composition (thermal spray material) includes glass frit capable of forming a sprayed coating, and at least an inorganic oxide catalyst. The inorganic oxide catalyst may contain a low-temperature active type oxide catalyst and a high-temperature active type oxide catalyst. Further, a hydrophilic metal oxide may be included in addition to the inorganic oxide catalyst. The thermal spray composition is thermally sprayed onto a substrate, to thereby form an enamel-like sprayed coating having self-cleaning function.
