The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a powder for skin application using rice with excellent water repellency and improved functionality having smooth application. The powder for skin application of the present invention can provide a powder product with enhanced functionality by minimizing the absorption of moisture and oil, which is associated with a problem of a conventional rice powder, and having smooth application. The present invention comprises: a step (a) of crushing polished white rice； a step (b) of processing essential oil on the crushed material； and a step (c) of mixing silica and the crushed material which is processed with the essential oil.본 발명은 우수한 발수성 및 부드러운 사용감을 가진 기능성이 증진된, 쌀을 이용한 피부도포용 분말의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 피부도포용 분말은, 기존의 쌀을 이용한 파우더의 문제점인 수분과 유분의 흡수를 최소화하면서도, 부드러운 사용감을 가짐으로써 기능성이 증진된 파우더 제품을 제공할 수 있다.
