PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear built in a fishing reel structured to excel in rotation feeling while attaining weight reduction with respect to strength.SOLUTION: A drive gear 15 built in a fishing reel is formed by integrally forming an outer peripheral part 15A including a tooth surface 15b, and a body part 15B located radially inside of the outer peripheral part using different kinds of materials. When the material strength, material density (specific gravity) and vibration damping capacity of the materials constituting the outer peripheral part 15A and the body part 15B are set as (S1, S2), (P1, P2), and (F1, F2) respectively, the outer peripheral part 15A and the body part 15B are integrated using the different kinds of materials that satisfy S1>;S2, P1>;P2, and F1<;F2.【課題】強度に対する軽量化を図りながら、回転フィーリングに優れた構造の魚釣用リールに組み込まれる歯車を提供する。【解決手段】魚釣用リールに組み込まれるドライブギア15は、歯面15bを含む外周部15Aと、その径方向内側となる本体部15Bとが異種材料で一体化して形成されており、外周部15Aと本体部15Bを構成する材料の材料強度、材料密度(比重)、及び、振動減衰能をそれぞれ、(S1,S2)、(P1,P2)、(F1,F2)とした場合、S1>S2,P1>P2,F1<F2となる異種材料で一体化したことを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
