As a rear sheet, a nonwoven fabric of 20 g/m2 or less in weight is used, and the total weight amount of its waist side joining part is set to 78 to 120 g/m2, and the total weight amount of its leg side joining part is set to 65 to 100 g/m2. As a result, the shorts type disposable diaper having both the comfortableness to wear and the high joining strength can be provided.
