PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester with a device for properly removing the earth and sand deposited on crops in a pullout conveyor because a starting end of a pullout conveyor is necessary to be brought close to a field surface when stems and leaves are short in the root crop harvester of carrots, and the like, and in this case, the pullout conveyor holds the stems and leaves, and at the same time, often holds the earth and sand around the crops together, and also these earth and sand are transferred to a subsequent process with the crops, so that the work for removing the earth and sand deposited on each part of a machine body is needed and a problem of the increase of time and the labor spent by the worker is caused.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester includes an earth and sand removal unit (150) for removing the earth and sand around crops at the front part of a pullout conveyor (24), where the working point (T) of the earth and sand removal unit (150) is located at the front side with respect to a conveyance starting point (S) of the pullout conveyor (24).COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】人参などの根菜類収穫機では茎葉部が短い場合、引抜搬送装置の始端部を圃場面に接近させる必要がある。この際引抜搬送装置が茎葉部を挟持すると同時に作物の周囲の土砂を一緒に挟持することが多く、この土砂が作物と共に後工程に搬送されてしまい、機体の各部に付着した土砂を除去する作業が必要となり、作業者の費やす時間と労力が増大する問題がある。よって作物に付着した土砂を適切に除去する装置を引抜搬送装置に備えた根菜類収穫機を提供することが、本発明が解決しようとする課題である。【解決手段】引抜搬送装置(24)の前部に作物の周囲の土砂を除去する土砂除去装置(150)を備え、この土砂除去装置(150)の作用点(T)が、前記引抜搬送装置(24)の搬送開始点(S)よりも前側に位置することを特徴とする根菜類収穫機により上記問題を解決した。【選択図】図5
