PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyglycerol fatty acid ester composition, a dynamic contact angle lowering agent and a surface tension depressant, exhibiting excellent retreat contact angle lowering effects in a food field, a cosmetic field, a pharmaceutical field and an industrial field.SOLUTION: A dynamic contact angle lowering agent or a surface tension depressant contains a polyglycerol fatty acid ester composition containing both (A) a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester obtained from saturated aliphatic acid having 8 to 12 carbon atoms and polyglycerol having an average degree of polymerization of 2 or more and less than 3, (B) a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester obtained from saturated aliphatic acid having 8 to 14 carbon atoms and polyglycerol having an average degree of polymerization of 3 to 12, and their mixture ratio (A)/(B) is 10 mass%/90 mass% to 90 mass%/10 mass% and its retreat contact angle immediately before a fall initiation of drops evaluated by using a retreat contact angle measuring apparatus when 5 μL of 0.033 mass% solution of the mixture is dropped to Parafilm M (trade name) at 25°C is less than 59°.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】食品分野、化粧品分野、医薬品分野、及び工業分野において、優れた後退接触角低下効果を発揮するポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル組成物、動的接触角低下剤及び表面張力低下剤を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明は、炭素数8~12の飽和脂肪酸と平均重合度2以上、且つ3未満のポリグリセリンとから得られるポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル(A)、及び炭素数8~14の飽和脂肪酸と平均重合度3~12のポリグリセリンとから得られるポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル(B)の両者から構成され、両者の混合比率(A)/(B)が、10質量%/90質量%から90質量%/10質量%である混合物で、且つ、該混合物の0.033質量%水溶液を、25℃においてパラフィルムM(商品名)に対して5μL滴下した際の、動的接触角測定装置を用いて評価される液滴の転落開始直前における後退接触角が59°未満であるポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル組成物からなる動的接触角低下剤又は表面張力低下剤とするものである。
