The invention relates to a device (1) for treating a product (2) with microwaves, the device (1) having a treatment chamber (15), in which the product (2) can be conveyed along a transport track (13) in a transport direction (14) through the treatment chamber (15), and having a microwave-emitting apparatus, which is arranged in the treatment chamber (15) and by means of which microwaves coupled into the microwave-emitting apparatus can be emitted, which microwaves impinge upon the product (2). The microwave-emitting apparatus has at least one coaxial conductor (3), which protrudes into or is arranged in the treatment chamber (15) and which has an electrically conductive inner conductor and an electrically conductive outer conductor, the outer conductor surrounding the inner conductor at a distance therefrom and in coaxial arrangement and having at least one opening, which enables the emission of microwaves through the opening from the coaxial conductor (3) onto the product (2). The microwave-emitting apparatus has a plurality of coaxial conductors (3) arranged at a distance from each other in the transport direction (14), each having at least one opening (6) in the outer conductor (5). In a coaxial conductor (3) arranged subsequently in the transport direction (14), the at least one opening (6) is offset transversely to the transport direction (14) with respect to the at least one opening (6) of a preceding coaxial conductor (3).
