PURPOSE: A composition containing herb extract for preventing and treating osteoporosis and bone diseases is provided to suppress osteoclast activation and to promote the proliferation and differentiation of the osteoclast. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis contains mixed herb material extract of Astragalus membranaceus BGE, Cinnamomum cassia, and Phellodendron amurensis as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture solvent thereof. The low alcohol is methanol or ethanol.
