To provide a planting design supporting system for supporting planting design work for performing planting through utilizing the ambient surrounding of an objective planting area so as to be expected to save energy.
SOLUTION: The planting design supporting system is provided with: a topographic map data input means which reads in map data including the topographic data around the objective planting area an effect factor input means which specifies an effect factor area having effects ON the objective planting area an environmental utilization area determining means which detects and determines the environmental utilization area based ON the information of the effect factor area specified by the effect factor input means and a planting design means which detects an orientation and a planting amount to be planted ON the objective planting area from the positioning information of the effect factor area in the environmental utilization area.
