The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the direction of a micro robot in a two-dimensional plane. Provided is an apparatus for controlling the direction of a micro robot in a two-dimensional plane, which comprises a first circular coil pair, a second circular coil pair, and a current control part. The first circular coil pair has a first and a second circular coil arranged to be separated from each other at a distance larger than the radii thereof, arranged on the x-axis coaxially, and allowing an electric current to flow therein in the same direction. The second circular coil pair has a third and a fourth circular coil arranged to be separated from each other at a distance larger than the radii thereof, arranged on the y-axis coaxially, and allowing an electric current to flow therein in the same direction. The first and the second circular coil pair have a two-dimensional space formed thereinside. The current control part controls the value of the electric current in the first circular coil pair or the second circular coil pair in order to control the alignment direction of the micro robot in a predetermined direction by moving a uniform magnetic field toward a point on which the micro robot is arranged in the two-dimensional space.
