The use of claim 2, wherein the unwanted growth or proliferation of cells in an individual is benign and is a wart or psoriasis, or precancerous hyperplasia. The use of claim 4, wherein the unwanted growth or proliferation of cells in an individual is neoplastic. The use according to claim 4, wherein the unwanted growth or proliferation of cells in an individual is tumor. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, which is a solution or suspension containing 5- (azaridin-1-yl) -4-hydroxylamino-2-nitrobenzamide and a pharmaceutically acceptable adjuvant, diluent or carrier.
