The lighting system is composed of a number of modules [6a] having a hexagonal shape that are combined to form a dish shape. Each module has a large number of light emitting diodes, LEDE, arranged as groups of red, green and blue elements [10] and each have a lens [11]. The LED elements are coupled to a regulator [15] that varies the colour temperature and level during dimming to maintain a uniform output.
