PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nail coating composition which is used on a nail art formed using a nail art material represented by a gel nail material, an acrylic nail material, a nail polish material etc. and is excellent in aesthetic appearance, in particular in surface glossiness.SOLUTION: An artificial nail coating composition contains, as essential components, (a) a urethane (meth)acrylate which includes one or more (meth)acrylate groups on average in each molecule and at least one or more urethane bonds in each molecule and has a weight-average molecular weight of 200 to 10000, (b) a photopolymerizable monomer, and (c) a photopolymerization initiator, where the average acrylic equivalent of the (a) component is 780-2500. In use, the artificial nail coating composition is applied for coating using a brush or the like onto a nail art formed using a nail art material, and is cured by UV and/or visible light. The composition can be easily removed while retaining various excellent properties such as surface glossiness, coating operability, coloration/discoloration resistance or the like.
