PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fruit harvesting robot capable of harvesting a target fruit (e.g. a strawberry) in elevated cultivation equipment without damage to the fruit by utilizing an image processing technology.

SOLUTION: An image of the strawberry is taken from the lower side with a camera 13, and the strawberry is photographed from the front with a camera 14, so that a coordinate position of a three-dimensional image of the strawberry from both the images can be specified. Then, a coloring ratio is judged from the red and the white images of the strawberry photographed with the cameras 13 and 14, so that it can be judged whether harvesting is right or wrong. When it is judged that the strawberry can be harvested, a manipulator R is operated in accordance with the image position, so that the strawberry can be harvested. The manipulator R can also be singly constituted, or composed of the pair of right and left manipulators R and R, so as to be each independently freely movable.
