1. A waterproof film, comprising: one or more cellulosic polymers present in an amount of from about 10 to about 50% based on the dry weight of the film, polyvinyl acetate present in an amount of from about 8 to about 25% based on the dry weight of the film; particles selected from silica, molybdenum oxide, alumina, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide and zinc oxide, where the particles are present in a concentration of more than from about 30% to about 60% based on the dry weight of the film. The film according to claim 1, in which polyvinyl acetate is present in a concentration of from about 10 to about 20% based on the dry weight of the film. The film according to claim 1, in which one or more cellulosic polymers are present in a concentration of from about 15 to about 30% based on the dry weight of the film. The film according to claim 1, in which one or more cellulosic polymers are present in a concentration of from about 18 to about 22% based on the dry weight of the film. The film according to claim 1, in which the particles are present in a concentration of from about 45 to about 55% based on the dry weight of the film. The film according to claim 1, in which the particles are particles of zinc oxide. A film according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the one or more cellulosic polymers is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. An aqueous composition for caring for the oral cavity, including: a film according to any one of claims 1 to 7; an acceptable oral carrier; wherein the film is present in a concentration of from about 0.1% to about 2% by weight of the composition.
