An apparatus for raising poultry and livestock comprising a plurality of elevated boards 10, each having a platform 11 with holes 111 for excrement to fall through, and at least two parallel supporting boards 12, defining at least one flow channel 13. A first pair of adjacent sides of the platform has at least a connecting slot 14 while a second pair of adjacent sides of the platform comprises at least a protruding piece 15 which is configured to engage with the connecting slot 14, and may bear against a blocking piece 141, when two elevated boards connected. The device is modular and forms am assembled elevated board designed to fit any size farm and prevent poultry and livestock from being infected by their excrement. There may be a flushing unit and the ground beneath the apparatus may be tilted to define a flushing end and discharging end of the flow channel. There may be a pool adjacent the platform with blocking wall to allow livestock to enter the pool but not the excrement.
