The present invention relates to a method for selecting a transgenic cymbidium plant in an economical and efficient way for the future. According to the present invention, an equivalent effect of selecting is achieved by replacing high cost phosphinothricin (PPT), which is frequently used in a selection process essential for a preparation of a transgenic cymbidium plant having herbicide resistance using a gene gun method or agrobacterium, with a basta herbicide solution which is inexpensive and easily obtainable, wherein the basta herbicide solution is added to selection medium after filter sterilization.본 발명은 아그로박테리움이나 유전자 총 방법을 이용한 제초제 저항성 형질전환 심비디움 식물체 생산에 있어서 필수적인 선발과정에서 빈번하게 사용되는 고가의 PPT (Phosphinothricin) 대신 저렴하고 쉽게 구할 수 있는 Basta 제초제 용액을 여과 살균 후, 선발배지에 첨가하여 동일한 선발 효과를 나타내어 향후 경제적이고 효율적인 심비디움 형질전환 식물체를 선발하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
