PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-containing cellulose powder which is capable of exerting a masking effect due to its light-scattering property and imparting a transparency and a soft feel to a coating film to create a luxury look, and a cosmetic, a resin and a coating containing the same.SOLUTION: The pigment-containing cellulose powder is obtained by making a cellulose powder to contain, based on its mass, 1-200 mass% pigment at its surface and interior.
