The present invention relates to a bacterial composition, and can be used to augment compost. According to the present invention, there is provided a bacterial composition comprising at least one strain of Bacillus licheniformis that is capable of (a) degrading complex carbohydrates, lignin, and protein； and (b) assimilating ammonia； wherein the at least one strain of Bacillus licheniformis comprises a gram positive, catalase positive and oxidase positive rod shaped strain that has a white coloured, rough surfaced colony morphology.La présente invention concerne une composition bactérienne, et peut être utilisée pour augmenter le compost.
