The present invention patent deals with a topical, non-toxic phytotherapeutic cream, made from an exclusively vegetable extract of a mixture of fruits and seeds of Caesalpinia ferrea Mart. (Leguminosae) and organic vehicle, in concentrations between 9 to 10%, tested in a healing model in albino rats. This gave it an accelerating action in the healing process of induced skin lesions, reducing the time for re-epithelialization, as well as "in vitro" antibacterial action evaluated by the diffusion technique in a solid well, against samples of Staphylococcus spp. it can be used in wound healing, as well as in complementary treatment in the veterinary medical clinic, since it presents healing and antibacterial activity when administered topically.produto fitoterápico de uso tópico contendo extrato hidroalcóolico de pau-ferro com atividade cicatrizante e antimicrobiana. a presente patente de invenção trata de um creme fitoterápico, não tóxico, de uso tópico, elaborada a partir de extrato exclusivamente vegetal de uma mistura de frutos e sementes de caesalpinia ferrea mart. (leguminosae) e veículo orgânico, nas concentrações entre 9 a 10%, testada em modelo de cicatrização em ratos albinos. o que lhe conferiu ação aceleradora de processo de cicatrização de lesões cutâneas induzidas, reduzindo o tempo de reepitelização das mesmas, bem como, ação antibacteriana in vitro avaliada pela técnica de difusão em meio sólido de poço, frente amostras de staphylococcus spp. poderá ser utilizado na cicatrização de feridas, como também no tratamento complementar na clínica médica veterinária, uma vez que apresenta atividade cicatrizante e antibacteriana quando administrado topicamente.
