The present invention relates to a medical apparatus and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an acquisition unit acquires a transparent image of a subject from a photographing unit for generating the transparent image by irradiating an electromagnetic wave to the subject to photograph the same. A specification unit specifies a target position of the subject in the transparent image. A control unit outputs an irradiation allowance signal to a treatment device which irradiates a treatment beam to the subject when the target position specified by the specification unit enters an irradiation allowance range. Also, the control unit stops the irradiation of the electromagnetic wave of the photographing unit and stops acquisition of the transparent image by the acquisition unit when a first switch is manipulated.
