Disclosed are suspension concentrate compositions comprising by weight basedon the total weight of the composition, about 0.1 to about 40% of at least one carboxamidearthropodicide； 0 to about 20% of at least one other biologically active agent；about 30 to about 95% of at least one water-immiscible liquid carrier； about 2to about 50% of at least one emulsifier； about 0.01 to about 10% of a silica thickener；about 0.1 to about 10% of at least one protic solvent selected from water, a C-Calkanol and a C-C glycol； and about 0.001 to about 5% ofat least one water-soluble carboxylic acid. This invention also relates to amethod for controlling an arthropod pest comprising diluting said suspensionconcentrate composition with water, and optionally adding an adjuvant to forma diluted composition, and contacting the arthropod pest or its environmentwith an effective amount of said diluted composition.
