PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable method for producing isoprenoid without depending on bearing trees of Hevea brasiliensis.SOLUTION: The method for producing isoprenoid includes a process for cultivating calluses of isoprenoid-forming plants in the presence of at least one agent for increasing the production selected from among antibacterial agents, adrenal cortex hormones, steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, anticholesterol agents and antihypertensive agents. The method for producing isoprenoid also includes a process for cultivating calluses of isoprenoid-forming plants in the presence of at least one agent for increasing the production having an activity selected from among function inhibition of a pentatricopeptide-containing protein encoded through a Lovastatin insensitive 1 gene, function inhibition of a respiratory chain-related enzyme, and inhibition of potassium channel opening and electron transport.【課題】パラゴムノキの成木に頼らない安定的なイソプレノイドの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】抗生物質、副腎皮質ホルモン、ステロイド系抗炎症剤、抗コレステロール剤、及び高血圧薬から選択される１種類以上の増産剤の存在条件下でイソプレノイド産生植物のカルスを培養する工程を含む、イソプレノイドの製造方法。また、Ｌｏｖａｓｔａｔｉｎ ｉｎｓｅｎｓｉｔｉｖｅ １遺伝子によりコードされるペンタトリコペプチド含有タンパク質の機能の阻害、呼吸鎖関連酵素の機能の阻害、カリウムチャネル開口、及び電子伝達阻害から選択される活性を有する１種類以上の増産剤の存在条件下でイソプレノイド産生植物のカルスを培養する工程を含む、イソプレノイドの製造方法。【選択図】図１
