An absorbent article, comprising a topsheet disposed on a skin-contacting surface side, a backsheet disposed on a skin-noncontacting surface side and an absorbent body interposed between the both sheets, wherein the topsheet has a first projecting portion projecting on a first surface side as a fluid-supplied side and having an internal space, and a second projecting portion projecting on a second surface side as the side opposite to the first surface side and having an internal space, the first projecting portion and the second projecting portion are alternately and continuously arranged throughout a surface of the topsheet in each of different intersecting directions in a plane view, the second projecting portion has a wall portion having annular structure between a top portion thereof and an opening thereof, and the wall portion has fiber orientation properties in a direction connecting the top portion of the second projecting portion and the opening thereof, wherein the absorbent body has a first basis weight portion and a second basis weight portion, that has a lower basis weight than the basis weight of the first basis weight portion and surrounds the first basis weight portion, and is disposed in contact with the top portion of the second projecting portion of the topsheet, and further has a groove-shaped concave portion hollowed from the backsheet side toward the topsheet side, extending at least in a longitudinal direction, and having a bottom surface set by the second basis weight portion, and wherein at least part of the adjacent first and second projecting portions are disposed on a position corresponding to the concave portion through the second basis weight portion.
