PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently and easily reducing fishy odor of shark liver oil.SOLUTION: Oil extracted from a shark liver is washed with an ammonium hydrogencarbonate solution or an ammonium hydrogencarbonate solution including an anionic surfactant, and then washed with water. Then, the oil is brought into full contact with a desiccant of an inorganic salt composed of a strong acid and a strong base, and then the desiccant is separated. Optionally, the oil extracted from a shark liver is washed with an anionic surfactant solution, then washed with the ammonium hydrogencarbonate solution, and then washed with water.
