Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Matrix für eine orale Darreichungsform, das folgende Schritte umfasst:(a) Herstellen einer Mischung, die(i) einen oder mehrere pharmazeutische Wirkstoffe und(ii) wenigstens ein Biopolymer, vorzugsweise ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Agar Agar, Alginat, Gelatine, Gellangummi, Gluten, Gummi arabicum, Hydroxypropylstärke, Johannisbrotkernmehl, Karayagummi, Konjac, Lärchengummi, Pektin, kationischer Stärke, Taragummi, Traganth und Xanthangummi,umfasst und(b) Extrudieren der in Schritt (a) erhaltenen Mischung,sowie eine mit diesem Verfahren erhältliche Matrix und eine die Matrix umfassende orale Darreichungsform.Preparing a matrix comprises (a) preparing a mixture containing one or more active agent and at least one biopolymer, preferably alginate, gum arabic, locust bean gum, karaya gum, tara gum, tragacanth (all preferred), agar agar, gelatin, gellan gum, gluten, hydroxypropyl starch, konjac, larch gum, pectin, cationic starch or xanthan gum and extruding the obtained mixture except for the use of gum arabic for the preparation of a matrix for a sublingual dosage form. Independent claims are included for: (1) the matrix obtained by the above process and (2) an oral dosage form comprising the matrix.
