A method for manufacturing a thickener composition is performed, said method including: (a) a step for spraying an aqueous solution containing guar gum or tara gum as a binder solution onto a raw material powder containing a thickening polysaccharide as the main component, and obtaining granules and (b) a step for obtaining a mixture of the granules obtained in step (a) and a dissolution aid.
