PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for smoothly cutting branches, discharging cut branch dust between furrows, and also performing a proper branch-cutting work, by preventing the accumulation of the cut branch dusts on a branch-cutting machine.SOLUTION: This device for cutting the branches is provided by connecting covers 44, 44 with a branch-cutting machine body 41 by an arm member, moving for opening in the breadth direction of a tea furrow, or elongating and contracting, and also adjusting the amounts of elongation and contraction, to make the extended amount of the covers 44, 44 adjustable.
