PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level difference ascending/descending wheelchair that can clear a level difference with the whole wheelchair on which a user is seated.SOLUTION: The front and rear wheels of a normal wheelchair are reversely provided to clear a large level difference to provide a front wheel drive wheelchair. The front wheels 2 on both sides are formed as tire wheels with hand rings, and the rear wheels 4 are formed as pull-out type swivel casters. Vertical auxiliary wheels are provided to fill a space formed between the front wheels 2 and the rear wheels 4, and the level difference on the floor of a house and the level difference of height of the rear part of an automobile can be cleared by the function of these six right and left wheels. The tires 2 of the front wheels are lifted by the vertical auxiliary wheels and the rear wheel casters 4 so that three-quarters of the diameters of the front wheels 2 are raised from an upper stage angle of the level difference. The front wheels 2 are thereby pushed up easily and placed on the stage. When the front wheel tires 2 are thus placed on the stage, the stored auxiliary wheels are placed as feed wheels on the stage, and finally the stored rear wheel casters 4 are placed on the stage.
