The present invention concerns a header (2) with several frame sections thatare joined for articulation to each other and each form a partial workingwidthof the header (2), wherein outer lateral frame sections (6) are connected witha central frame section (8) with each other by means of a relief element (10),adjustable between a springy setting and a locked setting.In order to provide an adjusting possibility that enables a greater variety inregard to adjusting the spring behavior of the relief element and that iseasilyoperable, it is proposed that the relief element (10) comprises a spring (12)movable in loading direction and a spatial body (14) that is rigid in theloadingdirection, wherein the spring (12) is connected with the lateral frame section(6) by a bolt (16) which is guided in a slotted hole (18) formed on the rigidspatial body (14), wherein the spring travel of the spring (12) is adjustablebymeans of a stop element (20), pivotable between different pivot positions,through stops (22) formed on the stop element (20), and the stop element(20) comprises at least two different stops (22).
