PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoking device of direct heating, sufficiently volatilizing agents, suppressing temperature increase of the installation surface of a container and easy in handling.SOLUTION: The smoking device comprises a container 10 of a bottom-having cylinder shape and filled with a smoking agent 50, a jet plate 20 set at the opening of the container 10 and equipped with smoking holes 23, 25, and an igniter 30 igniting on the smoking agent 50, wherein the container 10 comprises a substrate layer 12 having an insulation property, and the inside surface corresponding to a smoking chamber 11 partitioned with the container 10 and the jet plate 20 is covered with an infrared reflective material.
