A method for detecting vascular sclerosis is revealed. Firstly set a cuff on a human hand. Then inflate the cuff and later deflate the cuff. Next measure a pressure of the cuff and generate a pressure sensing signal. Process the pressure sensing signal to generate a processed signal and convert the processed signal. Then calculate a systolic pressure and a diastolic pressure according to the converted processed signal and also obtain a vasodilation constant. Thus a hardening of blood vessels is detected according to the vasodilation constant.本發明係有關於一種測量血管硬化指數之方法,首先設置一壓脈袋於一人體之一手部,並充氣壓脈袋且對壓脈袋進行洩氣,感測壓脈袋之一壓力而產生一壓力感測訊號,處理壓力感測訊號,並產生一處理訊號且轉換為一處理訊號,運算轉換後之處理訊號,而計算出人體之一收縮壓與一舒張壓,並計算出一血管舒張常數,以依據血管舒張常數判斷該人體血管的硬化指數。
