A novel paper diaper, comprising an absorbent core layer (1), a covering layer (3), a base fabric (2) and a waistband assembly (6). The absorbent core layer (1), the covering layer (3), the base fabric (2) and the waistband assembly (6) constitute the main body of the paper diaper. The paper diaper further comprises at least one folding component (7). A three-dimensional space can be formed in the front-end and/or the back-end of the paper diaper by assembling the folding component (7) to accommodate the scrotum or feces of an infant. The folding component (7) is connected with the main body of the paper diaper via connection areas (40, 57). The folding component (7) can also be a single piece with the base fabric (2) or the cover layer (3).Linvention concerne une couche en papier innovante, qui comporte une couche (1) centrale absorbante, une couche (3) de recouvrement, un tissu (2) de base et un assemblage (6) de ceinture. Selon linvention, un espace tridimensionnel peut être formé à lavant et/ou à larrière de la couche en papier en assemblant lélément (7) rabattable de façon à recevoir le scrotum ou les selles dun bébé. Lélément (7) rabattable utilisé est relié au corps principal de la couche en papier par lintermédiaire de zones (40, 57) de liaison. Lélément (7) rabattable peut aussi être constitué dune seule pièce avec le tissu (2) de base ou la couche (3) de recouvrement.
