PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient Ixodes repelling efficacy promoter for promoting Ixodes repelling efficacy of Ixodes repelling composition and protecting skin of clothing wearer which is exposed from clothing from damages by Ixodes when treated on the clothing, and to provide a method of repelling Ixodes using the Ixodes repelling composition containing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided an Ixodes repelling efficacy promoter which is contained in an Ixodes repelling composition for a clothing treatment containing one or more kinds selected from glycol or a glycol ether compound having 4 to 10 carbon atoms and 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperidine carboxylic acid 1-methylpropyl ester as Ixodes repelling components.
