PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique allowing for reduction in a radiation dose of an operator when performing paracentesis while performing CT (Computed Tomography) fluoroscopy.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus according to the embodiment includes an X-ray generation part provided turnably along a circular orbit around a subject, and scans the subject with X-rays by exposing the subject to the X-rays from the X-ray generation part to obtain detection data. The X-ray CT apparatus further includes a calculation part and a scan control part. The calculation part calculates a position on the circular orbit opposite to a paracentesis position of the subject with the subject between the position on the circular orbit and the paracentesis position, as a scan reference position. The scan control part controls the X-ray generation part so as to perform X-ray exposure in some zones including the scan reference position calculated by the calculation part in the circular orbit.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
