PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dead body moving device for a dead body transporting vehicle, capable of effectively using a housing space of the dead body transporting vehicle for housing the dead body.SOLUTION: A dead body moving device 1 includes: a bed 2 to be loaded with a dead body to be transported by a dead body transporting vehicle an elevating means 3 for elevating the bed 2 a horizontal moving means 4 for laterally moving the bed 2 in the vehicle width direction of the dead body transporting vehicle and a control means 5 for controlling the elevating means 3 to lift the bed 2 up to a position higher than a tire house of rear wheels, and thereafter, controlling the horizontal moving means 4 to laterally move the bed 2 for positioning of the bed 2 above the tire house TH of the rear wheels.
