PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool a cooled object to a desired temperature in a short time regardless of an initial article temperature condition and a set cooling temperature condition.SOLUTION: In this combined cooling method capable of performing vacuum cooling and cold air cooling of the cooled object in a cooling chamber, a temperature of the cooled object (hereinafter called article temperature) is partitioned into a plurality of temperature zones, processing assignment is performed to assign a cold air cooling process for cooling the cooled object by cold air, and a vacuum cooling process for cooling the cooled object in vacuum to each temperature zone, one or a plurality of cooling processes are selected according to the process assignment according to the initial article temperature condition that in which temperature zone a cooling start temperature of the cooled object (hereinafter called initial article temperature) belongs.
