SOLUTION: The method for producing a fermentation product of carrot containing &gamma - Aminobutyric acid comprises fermenting a carrot or a treated material thereof in a temperature range of 33-53° C by using yeast. The method for producing a fermentation product of carrot containing &gamma - Aminobutyric acid comprises fermenting a carrot or a treated material thereof by using Pichia anomala MR-1 strain (accession number FERM BP-10134). The fermentation product of carrot is produced by the method. The medicine or the food contains the fermentation product of carrot.
