The device has an accelerator (7) producing a particle beam (5), and a raster scan device (9) scanning tumor tissue (3) of a patient. A modulator (17) modulates energy of the beam, and a detection device (37) detects a position of the tumor tissue. A storage device stores data regarding the tissue, and outputs the data to the scan device and the modulator. A module (39) detects the data of radiation characteristics and the detection device during a radiation process. A correlation unit sets the data of the radiation characteristics and the detection device in time relation to each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for compensating movement of tumor tissue of a patient during radiation with a particle beam (2) a method for dose computation for scanned particle beam for a device for radiation of tumor tissue of a patient (3) a method for radiation planning for scanned particle beam for a device for radiation of tumor tissue of a patient.
