To provide a torsion-spring driven injection device which shields an injection needle during injection and releases an injection of a single dose of medicine set with axial movement of the needle shield.The injection device activates the injection by actuating release of the torque of the torsion spring when the nestable movable needle shield moves from the extended position to the retracted position of the needle shield. The injection device further comprises a needle holder 30 carrying an injection needle, the needle holder being axially movable with respect to both the housing and the needle shield.
