PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating indicators for determining the necessity of jaw surgery in orthodontic treatment, the method enabling easy calculation of indicators for determining the necessity of jaw surgery that serve as objective material for a dentist to determine whether a patient requires jaw surgery in orthodontic treatment, and enabling the dentist to easily and quickly perform a more objective and accurate diagnosis by also taking the result of another examination method into account, as appropriate and a program therefor.SOLUTION: Indicators for determining the necessity of jaw surgery in orthodontic treatment are calculated by calculating P=((S-Xi)+(Go-Xj))/(S-A) (except in the case where Xi=B and Xj=Me) using the following measurements from a cephalogram of a patient: the distance (S-A) between S and A the distance (S-Xi) between S and Xi (i is an integer between 1 and 4, inclusive, and X1=B, X2=Pog, X3=Gn, and X4=Me) and the distance (Go-Xj) between Go and Xj (j is an integer between 1 and 4, inclusive, and j=i or j≠i).COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】患者の歯列矯正治療において歯科医師が患者の顎骨手術が必要であるか否かを判断するための客観的材料となる顎骨手術要否判断指標を簡単に計算することができ、他の検査方法の結果を適宜併用することで歯科医師がより客観性の高い正確な診断を容易にしかも短時間で行うことが可能になる、歯列矯正治療における顎骨手術要否判断指標の計算方法およびそのためのプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】患者の頭部X線撮影により計測された、SとAとの間の距離(S-A)、SとXi (iは1以上4以下の整数で、X1 =B、X2 =Pog、X3 =Gn、X4 =Me)との間の距離(S-Xi )およびGoとXj (jは1以上4以下の整数で、j=iまたはj≠i)との間の距離(Go-Xj )を用い、P=((S-Xi )+(Go-Xj ))/(S-A)(Xi =BかつXj =Meの場合を除く)を計算することにより、歯列矯正治療における顎骨手術要否判断指標を計算する。【選択図】図1
